Coos Bay/North Bend are side by side cities located on the Southern Oregon coast established in the 1800’s and nestled next to a bay of the same name. The bay is the largest and deepest natural port between San Francisco to the south and the Columbia River to the north. There is a rich diversity of Native American heritage which is still very prominent in the area, as is a wide range of outdoor activities from fishing (ocean and freshwater), hunting, surfing, hiking and photography. Coos Bay/North Bend is also referred to as “the Bay Area” and is the gateway to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
