Marketing Consultant

Bicoastal Media in Albany, OR has an immediate opening for a dynamic and creative individual to join our marketing team.  Bicoastal Media in Albany serves businesses and listeners in Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties with product solutions in on air, promotional, and digital categories.

A Marketing Consultant’s duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right on air and digital solutions.  Digital solutions include branding through audience targeting, that includes display/video & OTT/CTV, Facebook advertising, lead generation utilizing search engine optimization & search engine marketing, social management and responsive website design.  You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Marketing Consultant, you should stay up-to-date with our product features and market trends.  This position will work with clients in the Salem, Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Prospect, market, sell and service advertising air time to meet revenue goals
  • Negotiate business based on industry ratings in order to maximize station revenue and share within parameters set by station management
  • Achieve revenue and share goals set by the Management Team
  • Develop new advertisers by soliciting area businesses
  • Service clients to maintain positive working relationships
  • Prepare sales orders and production requests in a timely manner
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and assist in collections of past due accounts
  • Provide regular reports to the Management Team regarding prospective sales orders, daily call sheets, itineraries, new prospect lists, forecasts and competition analysis
  • Monitor competitive media to continually prospect for new account leads
  • Follow station/company practices and policies for processing, invoicing and calculation of sales
  • Adhere to minimum standards of performance as established by the Management Team
  • Develop an account list from various sources
  • Conceive and execute written proposals
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS | EDUCATION:

  • College education preferred
  • Background in related media sales with a minimum of two years’ experience
  • Outstanding marketing and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
