Bicoastal Media’s Popular & Populous Areas: Centralia and Longview
Washington’s “gateway to everything”, located just about halfway from Seattle and Portland has almost 750,000 people under Bicoastal Media’s 7 dominant radio station signals — close to the population of San Jose —California’s third largest city.
Centralia – KELA and KMNT’s powerful signals dominate the areas of White Pass, Morton, Mossyrock, Ethel, Toledo, Vader, Ryderwood, Onalaska, Chehalis, Centralia, Pe Ell, Adna, Rochester, Yelm, Tenino, Rochester, Rainier, and all the areas in between. KELA has been a part of this community since 1937, while our sister station, KMNT has been around for nearly 30 years. . For most of 2008, and now again this winter in January of 2009 in Lewis County, KELA and KMNT have been assisting residents in need of basic items. Working in conjunction with the United Way and local businesses, Bicoastal Centralia has been active for over a year in helping the community rebuild, and to provide assistance to listeners
Longview – Longview is a scenic area, ideally located between Seattle and Portland at the confluence of the Columbia and Cowlitz rivers with a backdrop of lush, green forests and white mountains, including the famous Mt. St. Helens. Opportunities for year-round recreation are bountiful, drawing both visitors and residents. The area boasts a comfortable rural life style and small-town charm, with all the amenities of a big city.
